Syllabus

The Boiler Inspection Act, as amended, has so occupied the field of regulating locomotive equipment on interstate highways that state legislation requiring cab curtains and automatic firebox doors is precluded, and such matter are left to the regulatory power reposed by the Act in the Interstate Commerce Commission. P. 608.

No. 87. Appeal from a decree of the District Court (December 1924) enjoining the Attorney General of Georgia from enforcing a state law requiring the complaining carrier to equip the fireboxes of its locomotives with automatic doors.
