1. Provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act granting exemptions from the operation of the Act are to be narrowly construed. P. 493.

2. Section 13(a)(2) of the Fair Labor Standards Act, exempting from the operation of the Act employees "engaged in any retail . . . establishment," held inapplicable to warehouse and central office employee of an interstate retail chain store system. P. 493.
