Bertrand Russell
Bertrand Arthur William Russell, the third Earl Russell (May 18, 1872-February 2, 1970), was a British writer and political activist. Russell is regarded as a founder of analytic philosphy and was a prime logican of his time. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950 "in recognition of his varied and significant writing in which he champions humanitarian ideals and freedom of thought."
