François Rabelais



François Rabelais
François Rabelais (c. 1494–1553) was a French humanist who wrote fantasy, satire, comedy, and songs. He is most famous for Gargantua and Pantagruel, which used comedy to criticize educational, monastic, and other institutions of the time. Rabelais also practiced and lectured on medicine from 1532 to 1546.
