The Bay of Pigs
The Bay of Pigs was the failed invasion of Cuba by anti-communist forces. Supported by the CIA, Deputy Director of Plans Richard M. Bissell, Jr. recruited Cuban exiles in Miami and CIA staff officers to carry out the operation. The invasion started April 17, 1961 and lasted four days.
