Copernican Revolution
The Copernican Revolution completely revolutionized how the world looked at the universe. It replaced the Ptolemaic model of the universe, which depicts the Earth as the center of the Solar System, with a heliocentric model, which has the planets orbiting around the Sun. Nicolaus Copernicus, Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler, Galileo Galilei, and Isaac Newton were important astronomers in this movement.
