Documents explaining the wars fought by the Plantagenet, Lancaster, and York dynasties for the throne of England. These dynastic civil wars preceded the reign of the Tudor family. The war received its name for symbolic badges the two sides wore: the white rose of York and the red rose of Lancaster.
