French Revolution

The French Revolution (1789-1799) was a concerted effort of the bourgeoisie, middle and lower class, to overthrew the aristocracy and royal family and established a Republic. It was a bloody and violent rebellion that resulted in tens of thousands of deaths, but in the end, the revolutionaries were successful.
