King John's Magna Carta, 1215




The Magna Carta is a significant British charter. On June 15, 1215, King John of England signed the document and granted the nobility increased rights, such as protection against illicit imprisonment. The Magna Carta was impactful in politics for centuries afterwards, even influencing the formation of the constitution of the United States of America.
