Geneva Conventionson War
The Geneva Conventions establish international law concerning the humanitarian treatment of war. The treaties determine rights of prisoners of war, and provide protections for civilians and the sick and wounded. The Geneva Conventions were first created in 1864, and were updated in 1906, 1929, and 1949.
