Brothers Grimm
The Brothers Grimm was the popular name for Jakob (1785 - 1863) and Wilhelm (1786 - 1859) Grimm. Jakob and Wilhelm were so close that they lived under the same roof for their entire lives. The brothers are known world over for their collection of German fairy tales. In addition to their book of fairy tales, they help build the German Dictionary. Jakob is best known as the discoverer of Grimm's Law (linguistics) and the author of German Mythology (1835). Wilhelm was a lawyer who worked alongside his brother for most of their lives.
