Plotinus
Plotinus (c. 204/5-270) was a Roman philosopher. He is generally considered the founder of Neoplatonism. There are three major principles of Neoplatonism: the One, the Intellect, and the Soul. Plotinus created this new theory of philosophy by clarifying what he thought Plato meant in his writings and by trying to defend Plato against those who misunderstood him.
