O. Henry
O. Henry (born, William Sydney Porter, September 11, 1862-June 5, 1910). His work was wide-ranging, reflecting on his own life experiences and those of his associates. He published nearly 300 works of fiction and 16 volumes of stories, the most famous of which are "The Gift of the Magi," "The Ransom of Red Chief", and "A Retrieved Reformation." In 1917, The Complete Works of O. Henry was published in 14 volumes.
