Kate Chopin
Kate Chopin (born, Katherine O'Flaherty, February 8, 1850-August 22, 1904) is an American author who wrote two novels and numerous short stories. She was known for female characters that expressed their attitudes and feelings towards marriage and motherhood. Most of her stories were set in the state of Louisiana.
