James Fenimore Cooper
James Fenimore Cooper (September 15, 1789-September 14, 1851) was an American author known for works about frontier life in America and at sea. His novel, The Last of the Mohicans (1826), is widely considered his masterpiece. He was a prolific, popular writer and social critic of his day.
