L. Frank Baum
Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856-May 6, 1919) was an American author and poet and is best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900). His story was later made into the movie, The Wizard of Oz (1939), which became one of the most popular movies ever made. Baum wrote thirteen sequels to the book, as well many other novels, short stories, and poems for adults and children.
