Herodotus



Herodotus
Herodotus (c.484-425 BC) was the first Greek historian and is called "The Father of History." He collected his materials systematically, tested their accuracy, and arranged them in a vivid narrative. His only known work is the masterpiece The Histories, an account of the Greco-Persian Wars and the final Greek victory.
